Policies

Rates:
Rates are quoted for single or double occupancy.

Children:
The Inn is best suited to accommodate adults. if you are traveling with children please let us know when you book and we can discuss that when you reserve your stay.

Minimum Stay:
A two-night minimum is required. A three-night minimum may be required for certain holidays.

Pets:
Max "the wonder dog" lives at the Inn. Very well-behaved dogs are sometimes allowed to visit with their owners. Fees apply. Sorry, allergies prohibit us accepting cats.

Payment:
We accept payment by cash only. Rates are subject to a city occupancy tax of 14%.

Cancellation or Shortening of Stay:
Because we do not overbook as hotels do, and last-minute changes are costly for us, we require at least 30 days' notice in the event of a cancellation to refund your deposit (less a $50 service charge).
Shortening of a stay with less than 30 days' notice will incur full charge. The full charge for the reservation will be incurred for no-shows or for early departure after the stay has been charged on the arrival date. Reservations of two or more rooms require 45 days' notice of cancellation in order to refund deposit (less $50 service charge).

Parking:
There is free street parking at the Inn and is plentiful. Guests are requested to park on the BROOKDALE SIDE of the Inn. Please DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY at any time, and ask your hosts/guests to park on Brookdale as well. Thank you.

Breakfast:
We serve a sumptuous continental breakfast including rolls, bagels, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, and juice. Breakfast is available from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. The Inn and all guest rooms are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on the front porch and the rear veranda.

Check-in and Check-out:
Check-in is 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. We can store your bags for afternoon departures.

Airport Transportation:
We are happy directions to pick your party up from the Oakland airport or train station.
